A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Riverview, FL, serving K-12 students within a vibrant school district. This contract role spans the current school year with assignments at multiple schools, addressing diverse student needs ranging from early childhood through middle school.
Locations and Assignments:
- Sugg Middle School: January to May 28, 2026, working with approximately 60 students, including a self-contained/cluster program for Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD).
- Blackburn Elementary: Immediate start through April 2026, covering a maternity leave; collaboration with another SLP and a part-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Abel Elementary or Abel/Tillman Elementary: March to May 28, 2026, filling a vacancy due to relocation of the current full-time SLP.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Florida SLP license required.
- Candidates in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in school-based settings preferred.
- Strictly no Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) considered at this time.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language evaluations and therapy services to students with communication disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district policies.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.
